Cost Savings
In addition to being in compliance, recycling also makes good business sense. Every pound of waste you generate costs your business money, and by making a few simple changes in how your business handles its waste can save money in the long run.

Customer Perception
Practice recycling and waste reduction and advertise it! The public supports businesses that are environmentally sound. You can gain additional exposure through participation in community events.

Best for the Environment
The goal of recycling is to preserve the environment and natural resources for future generations. Your recycling efforts can produce tangible results by:

  • Slowing the depletion of landfill space
  • Reducing energy used in the manufacturing of products and the associated soil, water, and air pollution
  • Reducing the amount of hazardous constituents in discarded items, which can cause potential management problems at landfills and incinerators

Close the Loop!
After all your waste reduction and recycling efforts, don’t forget to buy recycled products as well. You’d be surprised how many products are made with recycled content. Bottles, cans, and paper are the most obvious, but did you know you can also buy fabrics, clothing, carpet, lumber, automotive parts, filing cabinets, ladders, and more! By buying more post-consumer recycled items, we increase demand for use of recycled materials rather than virgin materials, which closes the recycling loop.
