BizRecycling Business Organics Rewards Grants

BizRecycling offers grants for organics recycling. These grants can be used to offset some of the costs of starting or improving an organics recycling program. Eligible services include commercial compost collection as well as food-to-hogs programs. Learn more about organics recycling here.

  • For businesses starting a new organics collection service

BizRecycling will reimburse you for the cost of organics collection services for the first three months of service, up to $5,000. Businesses must maintain organics collection services for at least 15 months after the initial three-month reimbursement period.

  • For businesses with existing organics collection service

To be eligible for this grant, your business must make an improvement or expand your existing organic collection (for example, by adding paper towel collections).

BizRecycling will reimburse you for the cost of organics collection services for the first two months of service after the improved service is initiated, up to $5,000. Businesses must maintain organics collection services for at least 15 months after the initial two-month reimbursement period.

How to Start

To get started with BizRecycling’s organics rewards grant, first fill out the Contact Us form. One of our Recycling Experts will contact you within two business days.

The Recycling Expert can help you fill out the organics rewards grant application.

  • For businesses with existing organics collection service

You must provide a description of your organics collection program prior to the improvements, and describe all implemented improvements. You must also provide proof-of-payment for two months of organics collection service. The costs identified for the two months of collection services is the total available grant reward.

Your completed grant application will be submitted to BizRecycling, along with a completed W-9 form. You must also provide receipt of payment for payment of organics collection services or a copy of your business ledger showing payment.

Once your grant application is received by BizRecycling, it will be reviewed by the BizRecycling Grant Program Manager for accuracy and completeness. Any questions or corrections they have will be directed to your Recycling Expert.

Once BizRecycling has reviewed and approved the completed grant application, payment to your business will be made in the form of a check.
