Labels should be affixed directly to the bins, on the side, and on the lids.
Use one lid label on top of the container and two labels, each on opposite sides, one third of the way down, to ensure the label is not covered by a plastic bag.
Label all of your bins as soon as your labels arrive; this will reduce workload and confusion for staff.
If you use your label as a sign, place it on the wall directly above the container.
Begin by color coding your bins.
We recommend using blue bins for recycling, green bins for organics, and grey bins for trash.
Make sure that you always pair a recycling bin with a trash bin.
The same goes when you’re collecting organics; keep the green bin next to the others.
